Carter Mecham, CMA®, IACCP®

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Carter Mecham is Certuity’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.

He is responsible for the development, management and monitoring of the firm’s financial and corporate reporting. He is also responsible for establishing and implementing effective standards, practices and procedures designed to keep Certuity compliant with government regulators.

With over 15 years of wealth management and investment experience, Mr. Mecham has deep insight into best practices related to reporting, monitoring and control practices for sophisticated wealth management and investment companies. He works alongside the firm’s management team to construct and implement programs to keep pace with a dynamic business and regulatory landscape.

Mr. Mecham most recently served as the Controller at StateTrust Investments, a privately held investment and wealth management firm catering to high net worth individuals. Prior to that, Mr. Mecham served as the Business Finance Manager at Summit Brokerage Services, a firm that had approximately 450 advisors and $15.0 billion in client assets before it was acquired by Cetera Financial Group.

He holds the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) credential, the IACCP® (Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional) designation and is a Level II candidate in the CFA Program (Chartered Financial Analyst).
